First Edition: Art In Book Form at Crows Nest Regional Art Gallery

- What are your main interests/activities in the Arts?
- About me...
Personally I love the arts, all forms and modes of production. I feel that art is important to communities, they enhance the environment in which they sit and the people that experience them.
I am the secretary for Arts Council Toowoomba, a voluntary organisation that prides itself on promoting the arts in Toowoomba.
Aside from that I am an artist and recreational curator. Last year I created and operated Attic Art Space a not-for-profit gallery in Toowoomba. I am glad to say that the gallery is still running: now owned by Annabel Simmonds. It’s a great little gallery if I do say so myself. Want to know a little more about the space? www.atticartspace.com
I recently graduated from my honours in visual arts so still relatively new to the artistic scene my works are all self-portraits be it through an abstraction or literal interpretation. I love to dabble in all media, finding it difficult to just stick to one.
My other personal passion is for dance, I have practiced dance since I was knee high to a grasshopper, with particular interest in Tap. I now teach for D Dance Studio, a job which makes me really happy.
Look forward to meeting new artistic friends and inviting some of my existing ones.
